Committed to Education and Student Affairs

The Office of the Vice President Education and Student Affairs is the central hub of the University of Zurich for teaching and study-related cross-sectional tasks. It offers advice and courses for lecturers, promotes strategic teaching and quality development and is responsible for various aspects of lifelong learning. It provides cross-faculty study information and advisory services for students and administers the centrally organized processes from application to graduation.

    The School for Transdisciplinary Studies was built in 2021. It is a hub for inter- and transdisciplinarily oriented courses offered by various university-wide initiatives and faculties.

    A Sneak Preview of University Life for Secondary School Students

    School students from Zurich secondary schools are able to attend regular study modules at UZH and thus deepen and broaden their subject knowledge.

  • Universitäre Lehrförderung

    Testing New Ideas and Forms of Teaching

    The UZH Teaching Fund, which has been in place since 2016, was replaced by the broader UZH Teaching Fund (ULF) as of August 1, 2022. The funding amount has been almost tripled to CHF 2 million per year starting in 2023.

Schweizer Haus

Schweizerhaus - Cité Internationale Universitaire Paris

For study and research stays, the UZH provides a room for its members in the Schweizerhaus of the Cité Internationale Universitaire Paris.

The room is available from August 1, 2026.
